Software Test Engineer
Location: Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium

One2Treat Insights® enables pharma R&D teams to analyze and interpret clinical trial data, informing strategic decision making based on the totality of evidence (e.g., dose optimization, go/nogo decisions).
By combining these tools, One2Treat supports smarter clinical trial design and more informed benefit and risk assessments, ultimately aligning clinical development objectives with what truly matters to patients and clinicians.
Your responsibilities:
As a Software Test Engineer you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You will design and execute test strategies, build and maintain automated test suites, and work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality releases.
You will lead quality initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
What You’ll do:
- Test strategy & planning
- Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical designs to define test needs.
- Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for manual and automated testing.
- Define and maintain test documentation aligned with QA processes and industry standards.
- Manual Testing
- Execute functional, regression, integration, exploratory, usability and acceptance tests.
- Identify, document and track defects using issue-tracking systems (e.g., GitHub).
- Validate fixes and ensure consistent reproduction of issues.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to clarify expected behavior and edge cases.
- Automated Testing
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend systems.
- Build scalable and maintainable automated test frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Puppeteer, Playwright, Selenium, Postman/Newman, PyTest, etc.).
- Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Monitor automation execution and optimize test performance and reliability.
- Quality Advocacy & Collaboration
- Participate in requirement reviews, design sessions.
- Act as a quality advocate across the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Quality Advocacy processes, tools, and standards.
- Mentor team members in best practices for testing and test automation (senior level).

What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in software testing (3+ years for medior level, 8+ years for senior).
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Hands-on experience with manual functional and regression testing.
- Solid experience with test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., TypeScript, Python, etc.).
- Experience with REST APIs and tools such as Postman or Swagger.
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems and Git.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Nice to have:
- Experience testing SaaS or cloud-native applications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Knowledge of performance testing (e.g., Locust).
- Experience with security testing or static code analysis tools.
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., GxP, ISO standards) — if relevant to your organization.
